emh group named apprentice employer of the year

“It is an incredible honour to be recognised for the work of our Academy. However, it is our apprentices that should be congratulated. Without their hard work, commitment and enthusiasm the scheme would not be the success it is.”

We are proud to announce that emh group has been named Newcomer Large Employer of the Year in the regional National Apprenticeship Service Awards 2014.

The East Midlands regional awards were handed out on 2 September 2014 at the East Midlands Conference Centre in Nottingham. The winners will now go forward to the judging stage of the national awards which will take place later in the year. Across the country, the awards have attracted over 1,400 entries, including city councils and multi-national organisations such as Santander.

The Newcomer Large Employer of the Year category (open to organisations with over 250 employees) seeks to acknowledge and celebrate employers who have invested in apprenticeships since March 2012 and can already demonstrate the immediate benefits it has brought them.

Chris Swaine, Learning and Development Manager (Academy) at emh group, said: “Winning this award is excellent news, and testament to not only our investment in our apprenticeship scheme but also the hard work of the apprentices themselves.”

At the awards ceremony we were asked to present a short film about our innovative Traineeship scheme. You can watch the film on our YouTube channel here:
